This week marks my first visit to Australia's 2nd largest city.
I will be spending most of my time at the Convention Centre and will probably not have time to venture far beyond the Southbank area.
I'm staying at the Crown Metropol - part of the swanky Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex, which is a number of hotels and apparently the largest casino in the Southern Hemisphere. Let's hope my luck in Australian casinos stays with me - I've never done better than my blackjack forays at Crowne Plaza, Canberra.
Great time of year to be in Melbourne - I forgot what spring/fall and less than 90% humidity everyday feels like!
